RCC structural design for homes in Trichy and Coimbatore
Planning a new home or residential building? CSM Structural Designs develops reinforced cement concrete (RCC) structural designs around your architectural drawings, site information and intended use.
We work with homeowners, architects and contractors in Trichy and Coimbatore to define the design scope and drawings required for each project. We coordinate the foundation, columns, beams and slabs so the structural requirements are clear before construction proceeds.

What our design scope can include
The agreed scope can include review of architectural inputs, structural analysis and the following drawings and details:
- Foundation design and drawings.
- Column layouts and design details.
- Beam layouts and design details.
- Slab reinforcement drawings.
- Reinforcement details and relevant structural schedules.
Bar bending schedules (BBS), bills of quantities (BOQ), site visits and third-party vetting are confirmed separately in the quotation. They are included only where expressly agreed for the project.

What to share for a quotation
- Architectural plans and sections, with dimensions and proposed floor levels.
- Site location, building use and approximate built-up area.
- Planned number of floors and any intended future extension.
- Available soil investigation report and known site constraints.
- Construction stage, required drawings and expected programme.
If some information is not yet available, tell us what you have. We will identify the inputs needed before the design can be finalised.
How the work proceeds
- Scope review: We review the available information and agree the deliverables and fee.
- Framing coordination: We coordinate the proposed structural layout with the architectural requirements.
- Analysis and design: We assess the loads and design the structural elements using the relevant project criteria.
- Drawing issue: We issue the agreed drawings and clarify design queries within the appointed scope.
Changes to the architectural layout, loading or intended use after design review may require revised analysis, drawings and fees. Obtain our review before changing structural details on site.
Questions before appointing a structural engineer
Can you quote from an architectural plan?
Yes. A plan is a useful starting point. Site location, floor count, building use and available soil information help us define the work and provide a scoped quotation.
Is structural design the same as building approval?
No. Structural design is an engineering service. Statutory approval, authority submissions and required signatories depend on the project and must be agreed separately.
Can standard column sizes be used for my house?
Member sizes and reinforcement need to be designed for the actual layout, loads, materials and site conditions. Floor count alone is not enough to choose a safe size.
Can you design for a future additional floor?
Tell us about the future floor at the start. An existing building needs assessment of its structure and foundations before the feasibility of an additional floor can be established. Assessment before extending an existing building.
Are site visits included?
The quotation will state any agreed visits, including their purpose, number and timing. A design appointment should not be assumed to include continuous site supervision.
